Investigation of Geomorphometric Parameters to Simplify Water Erosion Modelling (a Case Study: Emamzadeh Watershed, Iran)

In recent decades, water erosion potential has been recognized as a severe threat against soil sustainability and resources. The present study was conducted to investigate the relation between geomorphometric parameters type simulate in Emamzadeh watershed located northeast of Khuzestan Province. primary secondary geomorphic parameters, including slope, plan curvature, profile flow length, accumulation, direction, stream power index (SPI) calculated based on digital elevation model (DEM). measured using available data laboratory analyzes, then it predicted with prediction project (WEPP) model. Our results revealed that does not show any while some depicted significant WEPP model’s predictions. A an excellent explanation coefficient obtained multivariate linear regression predict erosion. application allows estimation simple models (R 2 : 0.934, sig: 0.000). Moreover, for SPI, total curvature -0.794, -0.658, 0.746. Therefore, there SPI. showed no specific sediment transport (STI) low amount STI represents sedimentation areas watershed. Generally, simplify prediction.
